Solsteer ViewT converts tablets into Isobus terminals
© MAG/Oliver Mark Brainy types at UK firm Solsteer have devised a nifty device for converting Android or Apple tablets into bona-fide Isobus terminals.
This avoids the need for buyers to shell out for a pricey secondary display when they want to view tractor settings or GPS at the same time as implement controls.
There are two elements to the ViewT system, first of which is an app that allows the tablet to operate just like a conventional tractor or implement display.

Then there’s the “black box” unit that plugs into the internal Isobus port, allowing tractor and tablet to communicate wirelessly.
For those that don’t already have an Isobus display, it will happily work as the primary unit.
Solsteer plans to launch the system next spring and it will be priced at about £1,700.
