Cereals 2025: Line Master detects high-voltage power lines

Farmers and contractors looking to allay concerns about the risks posed by high-voltage overhead power lines can now equip their machines with a warning system.
The three-part, plug-and-play AgriPro Line Master kit, sold by Suffolk-based Pro Straw Systems, costs £595 and can be fitted to telehandlers, combines, beet harvesters and trailers.

Buyers get a cab-mounted antenna that can detect an electric cable from up to 100m away, and an in-cab box that is either plugged into a fag lighter socket or hardwired into the ignition.
This displays the voltage and puts out audible and visual warnings when it passes an adjustable threshold.
Also included is a sensor that determines whether the machine is in transport or work mode.
It can be fitted to the tank lid of a combine, the chassis of a trailer, spout of a forager or boom of a telehandler to engage the system when a component is lifted to a potentially dangerous height and disengage it when it’s not required.
