Bobcat launches super-compact TL25.60 telehandler

A new model now props up Bobcat’s latest R-Series telehandler range, with the modestly proportioned TL25.60 measuring just 1.84m wide and 1.93m high – despite having a full-size cab.

It is powered by a 75hp Bobcat engine running through a hydrostatic transmission. As the model numbering suggests, lift capacity is 2.5t and it’ll stretch to a 5.91m maximum lift height.

Despite the “super-compact” format, its cab is identical to the biggest telehandler in the R-Series range and, according to Bobcat, provides segment-leading workspace.

Features include a 5in LCD display, an air-suspended seat and optional tilting/telescoping of the steering wheel column.

It also has a tight turning radius and fast hydraulic cycle times, the firm says, and comes as standard with a manual or hydraulic Bon-Tach carriage.

The initial model is designed for the construction and forestry sectors, but an ag-spec version will be available in 2023, taking the total number of models in the R-Series range to 11.

S86 and T86 compact loaders

The firm has also launched a pair of skid-steers – the wheeled S86 R-Series and the T86 tracked equivalent – that join the recently introduced S66/T66 and S76/T76.

These supersede the 700 and 800 M-Series, bringing more power – 105hp from a 3.4-litre Bobcat block – and faster hydraulic performance.

Buyers have the choice of three auxiliary flow outputs. The standard provides 87 litres/min for loading, carrying, or running low-flow attachments.

But for greater performance, there’s a new “electronic displacement control” pump that can be set up for “high flow” to deliver 138 litres/min or “super flow” that takes it to 159 litres/min.

Opting for one of these adds Power Bob-Tach as standard, which allows some attachments to be connected and removed using switches in the cab to save the operator having to leave the seat.

Improvements to the sealed cab include lower noise and vibration levels, better visibility and the addition of air-conditioning and a rear-view camera to the standard package.

There’s also a “clear side” option that keeps 75% of the side windows mesh-free, and the 5in display can be upgraded to a bigger 7in version.

Five-link torsion suspension of the undercarriage is available too, as are various counterweights and a reversible cooling fan.
