Heath Super Grab speeds up big square bale handling

Loader and telehandler attachments manufacturer Heath Engineering is exhibiting at Lamma for the first time to highlight its Super Grab and Super Spike bale handling implements.

The Super Grab is designed for handling big square bales up to four at a time, picking them up or setting them down on the ground or a trailer bed in either a vertical stack or horizontally.

A central frame carries two wing sections, each equipped with four Hardox steel tines to get a firm grip of 1,200mm square and 1,200mm x 800mm or 1,200mmx 900mm bales.

Heath’s Super Spike is designed to lift and carry up to 1.5t of bales using three steel spikes slotted into a robust back bar that rotates to position the spikes in to a safer upright position for road travel and storage.

In work, the back frame can be extended hydraulically to support one or two additional bales on top of the one held by the spikes.

The Warwickshire-based company also makes fold-away pallet forks, a telescopic fold-up grain pusher and a 3t grain handling bucket.
