Lamma 2026: Compact JCB 526-60 gets swankier cab

JCB has lavished its compact Loadall telehandlers with some attention, fitting higher-spec cabs, improved brakes and twin-line trailer braking.

The 526.60 is the smaller of the two models, benefiting from an extra 100kg of lift capacity over the 525-60 it replaces.

This allows it to handle 2.6t, with a maximum lift height of 6m.

Sitting alongside is its bigger 530-60 sibling, which has the same sized boom, albeit with a 3t rating.

Changes to the operator workspace include a wider-opening door, foot-operated adjustable steering column, improved glass seals and anti-vibration cab mounts.

In addition, there’s now a curved windscreen with increased wiper coverage and a new 10in display that makes it easier to view and adjust settings.

Both models are still at the preview stage, with the official launch due later this year.
