Massey Ferguson unveils diddy MF 1M Series compact tractors

Massey Ferguson has begun the process of replacing its 1500 Series compact tractor range with two new “professional” models – the 20hp MF 1M.20, successor to the 1520, and the 25hp MF 1M.25, a replacement for the 1525.
As well as Massey’s current family look, the new tractors have the attraction of a factory-fitted cab option, enhanced controls, a mid-mounted power take-off shaft, convenient external pto controls, more lighting options, and new cutter decks to keep the farm drive neat and tidy.

Despite their diminutive size, operators are not short-changed on the equipment front: the cab has a heater and air conditioning, LED work lights front and rear, USB and 12V power sockets, and both a wiper and demister for the rear window.
There’s an adjustable steering wheel, too, and a joystick to work a front loader and other hydraulically-operated implements.
Lots of torque at low revs is claimed for the three-cylinder engines, which drive through a nine-speed (previously eight-speed) gearbox on the 20hp machine and a hydrostatic transmission on the more powerful alternative.
