John Deere 5R returns to 90-125hp tractor sector
In addition to top-end newcomers to the John Deere 6R and 8R series, the latest 5R Series design returns after a short absence.
Now with four power outputs of 90-125hp and boost for pto and transport work, the 5R retains its steel frame – an unusual feature on a tractor of this size – and the 16×16 CommandQuad transmission with four powershift steps.

But it also introduces the new Command8 transmission, which has a 32×16 configuration with eight powershift steps, auto shifting functions and optional creeper gearbox.
The hydraulics package is also upgraded, featuring a larger capacity gear pump system and a new option in the 117 litre/min load-sensing piston pump circuit. Electric paddle switch operation of the spool valves is available on a seat-mounted CommandArm in place of levers located on a side console.
Front axle and mechanical cab suspension are available to cushion the operator and implements, which are carried on rear linkage with almost 4.7t and 5.4t lift capacity.
Front lift and pto is also available.
