New Holland adds 110hp model to base spec T5S tractor range

The revamp of New Holland’s T5 tractor range has continued, with the basic “S” derivatives the latest to receive some attention.

There are now three models in the Turkish-built line-up, thanks to the addition of a 110hp version alongside the existing 90hp T5.90S and 101hp T5.100S.

All remain powered by FPT’s 3.6-litre, four-cylinder engine, which runs through a simple three-range, four-gear transmission.

However, drive to the 12-speeder can now be stopped and started on the brake pedals, thanks to the introduction of a “brake-to-clutch” function.

An electric forward/reverse shuttle has replaced the old hydraulic shifter.

More choice

New options for these otherwise rudimentary tractors include the pivoting front axle of the firm’s SuperSteer system, which reduces the turning circle by a metre, and an 82 litre/min high-flow hydraulic pump.

This feeds a maximum of three rear spools – mid-mounted outlets are not available – and the 4.4t-rated rear linkage.

There’s also a quieter-running front pto, bigger 130-litre diesel tank, and a redesigned exhaust, with the bottom section now U-shaped to improve visibility through the lower right section of the windscreen.

Outside, they get a restyled bonnet and better LED lights, while inside there’s a new display and the options of factory-installed telematics, guidance and Class 2 isobus implement control.

Data collected by the isobus kit is automatically uploaded to the FieldOps management platform for streamlined record-keeping.

Buyers can pair these simple T5s with CNH’s new 635LU front loader.

This comes with mechanical self-levelling and offers a 3.6m maximum height and 1.8-2.1t lift capacity, controlled via a hydraulic joystick with its own shuttle switch.

New Holland says it will be sticking with MX and Stoll loaders for its bigger tractors.

The new models will be available to buy in the first half of 2026.
