M-Tec Engineering reveals 12ft, twin-axle livestock trailer
The first model in a planned range of livestock trailers has been unveiled by new Irish manufacturer M-Tec Engineering and its dealers in Britain.
M-Tec’s twin-axle 12x6ft trailer comes with a dividing gate, spare wheel and mounting bracket, fold-down front ventilation flap and permanently open side vents as standard.
Plastic mudguards and LED road lights are also part of the £7,000 package, together with parabolic leaf spring suspension.

Buyers can choose to swap the mudguards for alternatives crafted in aluminium, like the rest of the construction.
This includes 3mm-thick sidewalls throughout, contributing to strength and the 1.16t base weight of the trailer, which has a gross towing weight of 3.5t.
Other options include additional ventilation slots, sheep decks and a slurry collection tank.
M-Tec Engineering, established in 2019 by siblings Adrian and Therese Melanaphy and their father, Danny, already manufactures fixed and tipping-bodied single- and twin-axle general-purpose road trailers for cars and SUVs at its works in County Cavan, Ireland.
Among the company’s dealers in Britain are Sellars branches in Scotland; Eric Townend Farm Machinery in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire; TML Agri & Services, Bridgnorth, Shropshire and several road trailer specialists in England.
