Dutch firm Veenhuis claims to be the market leader for slurry injection equipment, with a big range of slurry injectors and tankers, including disc, trailing shoe and arable machines. Its machinery tends to be popular with contractors and medium-to-large farmers.
Veenhuis makes tankers that range from 8000 to 20,000 litres and injectors from 3.8m to 8.75m wide. It also manufactures forage wagons and “shuttle” wagons that shift forage from the harvester to the roadside for collection.
Taylor & Braithwaite says it believes slurry injection is the only long-term solution to ever-tightening environmental laws, tougher NVZs and rising fertiliser costs.
Taylor & Braithwaite has also established Veenhuis dealer and service support in the north through Rickerby, in the West Midlands through Agricultural Industry Suppliers and in Scotland via James Gordon & Son. It says it is also looking for other dealers around the country.
