Vicon Rotaflow spreaders stay ahead of the game
Vicon has completely revamped its fertiliser spreader range.
The company, which made its name with its oscillating spout spreaders, says it has revised its line-up to once more stay ahead of the game and make ease of operation a priority.
New Rotaflow RO-series twin-disc spreaders have all calibration and rate control settings grouped to the side of each hopper outlet.
Setting up the spreader no longer requires the operator to alter vanes. Instead, the main flow control lever is locked at the target application rate and a second lever is used to match the type of quality of material being spread.
Both spreading rates and material quality settings are outlined in the handbook – a straightforward calibration confirms the spreader’s accuracy.
Hopper apertures can be reduced for ultra-low application rates suitable for material such as grass-seed or slug-pellets.
Electronic controls ensure application rates are maintained, regardless of forward speed. Accuracy can be further enhanced with the firm’s RO-EDW models which use weigh-cells to monitor and control output.
Modular aluminium greedy-boards can extend hopper capacity on all models and stainless steel fittings are used throughout, in an effort to extend machine life.
Prices start from £3675 for a 1100-litre capacity basic specification RO-M spreader and rise to £10,795 for the weigh-cell equipped RO-EDW which can hold up to 3450-litres.
