Vote for your favourite piece of farm technology

THE VOTE HAS NOW CLOSED. THE RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON OPEN FARM SUNDAY ON 8 JUNE 2014
Agriculture has always been at the sharp end of technology.
Be it Harry Ferguson’s three-point linkage, IH’s power take-off shaft or Lely’s robot milking machine, farm machinery makers have continually come up with clever solutions to those age-old problems.
And they’re still at it. GPS steering systems are now mainstream, driverless tractors are on the cusp of commercial launch and dairy farmers can even feed their cows from their smartphone.
But which is the best piece of modern farming technology? To find out Farmers Weekly and Open Farm Sunday are launching the Farm Technology Survey. This gives farmers the chance to vote for their favourite bit of farm tech and tell everyone else why it’s so good.
Voting for your favourite couldn’t be simpler – just select your option below and tell us why you like it. The survey will be open for two weeks and at the end we’ll be crowning the winner.
