Wreckers Yard: Ford 7810 gets mucky…

Whilst at a friends farm in East Sussex, Yale Brewer was helping mucking out the cow sheds with a Massey Ferguson 390 and loader, loading a 1990 Ford 7810 III towing a rather small, old but functional trailer.

The trailer was backed up to the heap in the field and then raised a metre, when the added load on the rear axle found a soft patch which cause the trailer to topple.

Because the trailer is old and has a narrower wheel base, it already has a name for itself, as it’s not the first time this has happened!

Luckily, the only damage was a bit of pride, a bent drawbar pin and a sheared bolt on the clevis of the drawbar.

Many thanks to Yale Brewer for sending these in.
