Zetor launches high-spec Forterra
Czech tractor maker Zetor has launched a high-spec version of its Forterra tractor range, which gains an electro-hydraulic forward-reverse shuttle and three-point linkage suspension.
The new Forterra HSX machines also have a new five-speed synchronized gearbox and a three-stage automatic torque multiplier that gives 30 gears in both forward and reverse.
There are five models ranging from 86- to 146hp and all are fitted with the firm’s 4.16-litre turbocharged engine that has a modified cylinder head with 16 valves, a new fuel injection system and a particulate filter to help meet Stage 3B emissions standards.
.
Another addition is automatic three-point linkage suspension, which Zetor says improves performance while carrying out draft work. Lift capacity has been increased from 5,800kg on the standard Forterra to 7,000kg on the HSX and the new tractor is 10cm longer than the standard model at 4,770mm. The wheelbase is also 10cm longer at 2,490mm.
Three cab specs are offered – Basic, Classic and Lux. All three have a new dashboard with an LCD display and have improved vibration damping and sound deadening. Basic cabs feature a Mars seat, passenger seat, fixed steering wheel and rear working lights, while Classic cabs have a Grammer seat, adjustable steering wheel, front and rear working lights, heated back mirrors and rear window. The Lux cab has a Grammer air seat, air-conditioning and a radio.
Production of the new Forterra HSX is due to begin in June this year.
