1100gns calls for B&W herd
BIDDING twice reached 1100gns at the dispersal of John and Chris Coverdales Diamondwood Holstein herd at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.
The in-milk heifer Diamondwood Wade Glenna, tracing back to the Hemble Royal Glenna family, was the first to make 1100gns followed by a matching bid for a Bricknell Prelude Epic third calver. Buyers were I C Morton, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, and G P Taylor, Appleby, Cumbria, respectively.
Averages: 94 cows £733, 25 served heifers £686, and eight maiden and bulling heifers £472 (Harrison & Hetherington). *
