£3045 top Devon

THE Devon Cattle Societys show and sale at Hatherleigh saw the highest price paid for 15 years when a bull realised £3045.

The bid came for Langworthy Moor Candidate, a spring 1995-bred son of Nynehead Candidate consigned by P K James, Okehampton. Buyer was Mr Fontein, Chulmleigh, Devon.

Both the champion and reserve were sold privately after the auction. Dingle Talent, from R Colwill and Sons herd in Worcestershire, stood champion and a Langworthy Moor bull was reserve. (Vicks)
