21 years jail for blackmailing farmer

THREE men who blackmailed a 59-year-old farmer out of his £285,313 savings were jailed for a total of 21 years at Leicester Crown Court.

They had threatened to kill him and his livestock. He was forced to make 100 withdrawals from his building society accounts. The balckmailers spent the money on holidays, drugs and prostitutes.

The farmer, who was not named to save him from further harassment, had to sell some of his animals.
