£5000 to find what makes pigs tick

A PSYCHOLOGIST has been awarded £5000 to study the behaviour of pigs.

Ian Horrell, of the University of Hull, will investigate why pigs chew stones or stamp their hooves repeatedly. Mr Horrell believes the reason is that the pigs are bored.
