Agriculture grads are happiest – survey
By FWi staff
FARMING students may end up working in an industry with problems – but have better job satisfaction than many other workers, research has found.
Economic researchers at the University of Warwick questioned 15,000 people who graduated between the middle of the 1980s and the early 1990s.
The graduates were asked to rate how happy they were in their jobs.
Those who studied agriculture or medicine reported the highest job satisfaction.
Research Reamonn Lydon said agricultural students were probably happiest because they could go into a wide variety of jobs.
