A new AHDB campaign will tempt consumers with recipes for beef, lamb and pork to try on the barbecue as the nation celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee over the bank holiday weekend.
The levy board is encouraging people to make their barbecue more majestic by including pork, lamb and beef steaks alongside their favourite sausages and burgers.
Carrie McDermid, head of marketing at the AHDB, said the “Royal up your BBQ” campaign will remind people about the range of quality meat available to cook with.
“Pork, beef and lamb steaks, as well as other cuts, not only taste great, but are versatile, readily available and we’ve provided all the know-how to ‘Royal them up’ to make them fit for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
“The recipes and ideas are guaranteed to be a winner at any street or garden party – and are easy too.”
Among the recipes are lamb and halloumi kebabs, BBQ lime and ginger pork steaks, and beef steak with summer salsa.
