Buyers were after small lambs at Stamford, Lincs, on Monday. But some are over-fat as farmers delay selling stock bought as £50-plus stores last autumn. The lack of export interest in heavier sorts means 43kg lambs can make more than those weighing 47kg, according to the auctioneers. The days overall average was 143p/kg. Top price: 153p/kg.
