Roy and Ian Davis (right) offered 178 beef cattle at Holwell Court Farm, Hatfield, Herts, last week. They saw Simmental cross cows with calves at foot make to £800, averaging £730. Hereford cross cows with calves, meanwhile, went to £630, levelling at £535. Year-old steers on green CIDs topped at £518, with heifers to £360.
