Sheep dog sales shrugged off the gloom of lower sheep prices and finished the year on a firm trade. At Kendal (pictured) auctioneer Kevin Kendal reports the annual sale attracted 50 entries and although less interest was shown in part-broken dogs, broken units averaged over £400. Top price on the day was £1000 for a year old registered dog. At Skipton Jeremy Eaton saw a similar trade with only part-broken outfits showing exceptional potential breaking the £250-£300 mark.
