• A 178-acre block of reseeded Leics grassland, near Melton Mowbray, is for sale with Strutt & Parker for £285,000 (£1600/acre). Owned by an investment fund, the parcel has become available due to the retirement of the tenant of Home Farm, Asfordby Hill. The house and building are being retained.
• JUST in time for Christmas, Cluttons Haywards Heath office is marketing a small Chistmas tree plantation at Cowfold, West Sussex. Extending to almost 13 acres the site is planted with 35,000 Norway Spruce and 25,000 of the popular Nordman Fir. The asking price is about £125,000 and agent Mark Taylor reckons the business could have an income of up to £20,000 a year. *
