Despite falling milk prices, dairy farmers were willing to pay top dollar for second-hand kit at Home Farm, Stretton-under-Fosse, near Rugby, last week (Apr 19),where Peter Wallace and his wife Betty were offering a huge range of items. Among the best prices was this four-year-old 8000-litre bulk tank with hot wash system which made £6100 and a Keenan Klassik diet feeder that went for £12,200. "We really have seen heavy investment over recent weeks from the dairy sector despite the prospect of milk price cuts," said auctioneer Stuart Long of Howkins and Harrison.
