RUTLAND Handling has now developed an automatic rubber boot washing system.

The Boot Wash is designed to scrub and sanitise rubber boots worn by people in hygiene sensitive areas.

Cleaned "while you wear", the boots are moved backwards and forwards against nylon brushes, while being rinsed with sanitised water.

An electric sensor controls the sanitised water spray automatically and the system provides a thorough scrub of soles, heels and sides, claims Rutland.

Powered by a 240V single-phase electricity supply, the Rutland Boot Wash is equipped with a built-in sanitising agent dispenser. The system costs from £2884 (01858-535466, pam@editorialservices.co.uk).
