Baby Trac all set for debut

THE Trac family will welcome a new baby when the Trac 80 makes its UK public debut at the Saltex show on Sept 3.

Imported by Reed UK, the Trac 80 becomes the smallest model in Doppstadts range which includes models rated at 150hp, 180hp and 200hp.

Not a machine designed for heavy draft duties, the Trac 80 is powered by an 80hp four-cylinder block driving through a fully hydrostatic 40kph transmission.

With its front and rear pto and four equal size 365/80 R20 MPT81 boots, Reed UK says general utility jobs are the order of the day.

Such duties include operating front and rear mower combinations, light cultivations and loader work. The front and rear pto, says the importer, can be engaged under load to keep power loss to a minimum. A "Centrically" arranged cabin with all round glazing and a steep bonnet is said to provide panoramic views of front and rear mounted equipment.

Other features of the Trac 80 include four steering modes to provide front/rear and crab together with all-wheel steering.

Fitted with hydraulically operated multiple disc brakes, price for the Trac 80 is £27,000. &#42

Baby of the bunch… The 80 becomes the entry-level model in the Trac range.
