BSE Inquiry set to criticise ex-minister
THE BSE Inquiry appears likely to be critical of Douglas Hogg, Conservative agriculture minister at the time of the BSE crisis, reports the Financial Times.
Mr Hogg is expected to face censure after confirmation that he has been invited back to the inquiry to give new evidence.
He admitted that the inquiry has found “one area” where criticism could be made of his time in office but denied he was at fault.
The report of the inquiry is now due in March next year.
