Cabinet raises questions about GM foods
THERE is confusion and uncertainty among ministers and officials despite government reassurances about genetically modified (GM) foods, reports The Guardian.
It bases this conclusion on the content of a confidential Cabinet document which it has obtained and which is printed in todays issue.
The document, containing 46 questions, seeks answers across several aspects of GM policy including a possible moratorium, the health implications, animal feeds, public consultation and trade.
