Carrot proves it can take on listeria


RESEARCH at the Banting Research Centre in Ottawa, Canada, has shown that carrot can cause a decline in listeria.

Other work done in Northern Ireland, Georgia and England shows that raw carrot and untreated carrot juice kills listeria.

The finding has implications for those who produce pre-packed salads.
