Carr’s, Billington join forces in feed venture

CARRS Milling is to form a 50-50 joint venture with Billington Agriculture to make feeds for ruminants.

Chris Holmes, Carrs chief executive, said it would be one of the lowest-cost ruminant feed producers in the UK.

He said reduction in demand had led to uncompetitively high costs per tonne for the milling of Carrs animal feed. The venture would create increased throughput with potential cost savings.
