Caterpillar plans to boost world sales
CATERPILLAR, the US-based machinery giant, plans to improve worldwide sales of diesel engines by selling engines from its Perkins subsidiary in Peterborough.
The US company plans to sell engines devised by Perkins worth up to $4 million (£2.5m) a year through its main worldwide distribution channels.
Caterpillar is the worlds biggest maker of construction machines and has a substantial agricultural plant capability. It recorded sales of $21bn (£12.9bn) last year.
