Centre pivot to mower
KVERNELANDS range of mower conditioners expands by a factor of three following the introduction of a series of centre-pivot machines.
The TA 337C, TA 339C and TA 3310C offer cutting widths of 2.8m, 3.6m and 4m respectively. Discerning readers will note the smaller two mowers are already available with a standard drawbar attachment – but only now with a centre-pivot system.
Features include the use of round, rather than oval discs – a shape claimed to reduce stone damage – and a cutterbar suspension system designed to decrease shock loadings on the rest of the mower.
For transport, each of the wider two mowers can be positioned over the top of a bogie unit, lowered and then, through the operation of a spool valve, rotated into an end-on position. It is a system which allows a road-going width to be achieved without, says Kverne-land, the operator having to leave the tractor seat.
Price of the TA 337C is £16,000, the TA 339C is £21,160 and the TA 3310C is listed at £22,540. *
Kvernelands new centre pivot, 4m wide mower conditioner – the TA 3310C – gets a workout. Minimum pto power is put at 100hp.
