Charolais heifer tops 4000gns
CLAYBURY Lavender, the in-calf show-winning heifer, drew a bid of 4000gns to lead the trade at last weekends dispersal of the Highlands Charolais herd.
The event at Llandeilo, Dyfed, was on behalf of Mr and Mrs Tom Bissett.
By Maerdy Forum and served in March to Brampton Four Star, Claybury stays in Wales with Messrs W and R A Rees, Machynlleth, Powys.
Another in-calf heifer, the Bonnykelly Gordie-sired High-lands Ladyjane, went to Kevin Blakeman, Carmarthen at 2700gns. Cows reached 2400gns paid by W F Palmer, Truro for the first calver Coley Jemima, a first prize winner at this years Royal Bath and West.
