Charolais herd dispersal
PRICES reached 3200gns when the Benacre Charolais herdwas dispersed last weekend at Lichfield for Suffolk breeder David Cargill.
The day also featured a major reduction from the Moynton Charolais herd.
But it was one of the Benacre herds stock bulls, Thrunton Jenson, that achieved the top call from Messrs Webb and Warton, Leicester. The three-year-old was by Blanerne Fearless and out of a Newthrums Regal dam.
Best for Peter Olds Moynton herd was 2000gns given by A M Middleton, Bognor Regis for a 1990-bred cow by Impeccable suckling a heifer calf by the 45,000gns Thrunton Ideal.
