Chinese floods cut back crop production


SOME 9 million ha (22m acres) of crop land in China will have production cut by at least one-third because of flooding, reports The Independent.

Now rising floodwaters of the Yangtze river threatens even more devastation.

Chinas flood season still has several weeks to run. This years flooding was described as “unprecedented” and “severe”.
