Compact but versatile
COMPACT tractor manufacturer Kubota has introduced a new class of mini tractor which is claimed to offer big tractor features in compact format.
The BX2200 is powered by a Kubota 22hp, three-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine driving through a two-range hydrostatic transmission – forward and reverse speeds are infinitely variable and controlled by a foot pedal.
Features include power steering, independent 540rpm rear and 2500rpm mid pto systems, three-point linkage and rear axle differential lock.
Available in two- or four-wheel-drive builds, Kubota says the tractors chassis strength allows use of a front loader and a large range of attachments.
Price of the 2WD BX2200 is listed at £7375 and the 4WD at £9095.
