Contract mower debut
KVERNELAND has expanded its line up of trailed centre pivot mower-conditioners with the addition of a 4m model, the Kverneland Taarup 3310C. With its introduction, the company now has four models in this sector, offering cutting widths from 2.8m-4m. (9ft 3in-13ft 3in)
Aimed at the contractor market, the mower has a recommended power requirement of 140hp to operate its 10-disc cutterbar.
This, on a standard hitch, is pto driven at 540rpm through a gearbox and wide angle shaft; an optional swivel hitch and wide angle pto shaft drive allows a 540/1000rpm input.
At the back end, conditioning is carried out by Y-tined flails rotating at 900rpm or 600rpm, depending on pto speed.
A single handle arrangement enables cutting height to be infinitely varied from 30-30mm (1in-1in) and swath width is adjustable from 1.3-2.7m (4ft 3in-9ft). Standard specification includes the companys Super Float suspension system and an end tow kit which brings transport width down to 2.8m (9ft 3in).
Optional hydraulic swath deflectors enable two swaths to be put into one when working in front of high capacity forage harvesters.
