Countryside Alliance in crisis
THE Countryside Alliance is in crisis five months after it succeeded in organising a massive London protest against a ban on fox hunting.
The Guardian reports on the internal strife which has torn the organisation apart.
Janet George, the alliances press officer, left in June after falling out with Edward Duke, chief executive, who has also quit. Dr Charles Goodson-Wickes, chairman, has also resigned.
Ms George uncompromisingly blames Mr Duke. “He has done more to divide the organisation than anyone else,” she said.
