Boy shot on fox hunt

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has died after being shot during a fox hunting expedition in Devon on Saturday (September 11).


Devon police has said that he may have been mistaken for a fox, the BBC reports.


The teenager was among a small party hunting by the “lamping” method – using lights to spot prey.


According to the BBC, it is understood that an adult member of the party fired the shot that killed the boy.


It is also understood that the victim was a friend of one of the landowner‘s sons.


A Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter flew the youngster to hospital in Exeter where he later died.
