Spaldings launches farm security system

With NFU Mutual reporting that rural thieves cost agriculture £52.5m last year, farmers are being encouraged to take security more seriously.

To that end, spare parts specialist Spaldings, based in Lincolnshire, has launched a new range of motion-sensing light and camera equipment.

It includes a 230w security camera, low-energy 8w LED camera, floodlight and a speaker that can deliver a recorded noise to scare off any undesirables.

The equipment can capture 60,000 still images or 750 20-second video clips on its 2GB SD memory card. A security camera with remote alarm and remote switch costs £160.
