Police pulled over a tractor to find it being driven by 15-year-old youth using the vehicle as a “taxi for his drunk mates”.
The teenager was pulled over while driving without lights at 5am on Saturday (5 February).
Also in the cab were two underage male drinkers, said police.
The John Deere tractor with front end loader was stopped near Ripley, Yorkshire.
Inspector Chris Galley tweeted: “A strange end to a night shift. 15-year old lad driving a tractor as a taxi for his drunk mates.”

The driver of the tractor had no licence, was uninsured and did not have permission from the vehicle owner.
North Yorkshire police said the tractor was stopped after it was spotted near Harrogate without lights.
Traffic constable and family liaison officer David Minto said the passengers in the tractor were being carried unsafely.

The owner would be able to collect the tractor immediately upon production of the documents, he said.
The 15-year-old and the two other young males were returned to the care of their parents.
All three would be interviewed in due course, said Mr Minto.
