Three firearms stolen in raid on Somerset farm

Three firearms including a pump-action shotgun and a rifle from the Boer War have been stolen in a farm burglary.
Avon and Somerset Police has appealed for help from dealers and antique shops following the raid on a farm in Shipham, near Winscombe.
Raiders broke into a farm in Lippiatt Lane sometime during the afternoon of Wednesday 28 October.

They stole three firearms – a Webley .22 rifle, a Mossberg pump action shotgun with silencer and a decorative single shot rifle from the Boer War.
Investigating officer PC Simon Broad said: “We’re ensuring dealers and antique shops in the area are aware these items have been stolen.
“We’re asking people to come forward if they’ve been offered these items to buy, if they saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area of the burglary on 28 October.
