Cures in the feed

ADD medicinal ingredients to a feed line for whole-house medication of pig and poultry diets using the AZA dispenser, says equipment specialist TFS.

The dispenser centres round a hopper which is attached to the feed line at any convenient position. An auger, driven by an independent motor, delivers the medication direct into the feed line. The gearing ratio can be altered to enable between 100g and 1000g/ hour of any powder or granular material to be dispensed with accuracy, says the company.

The standard hopper holds 15kg and costs £450, but can be extended to 200kg for large installations. It can be used on any type of feed line and with wet feeding systems, it adds. (01572 813020, fax 01572 813263).
