Futures:
FRIDAY saw a very quiet end to a firmer week, with values increasing by £2 per tonne from Monday. One or two vessels presented themselves for immediate shipments, but overall the outlook for May-July has not changed. However, with sufficient shorts on the domestic market, values may remain steady for a few days.
Several flour-millers have now turned to Germany for May-July supplies as UK values for Class 1 and 2 milling wheats have increased by up to £10 per tonne over the past few weeks.
