UK futures finished at, or just below, contract lows following the French market, which fell £1.50/ tonne on the back of an ever-increasing crop forecast. This forecast has risen to 37-38 million tonnes v 33m tonnes five weeks ago. Good weather is now pushing early-August premiums lower.
Chicago finished 6¢ lower, setting new contract lows.
