EDWINA CURRIE, former agriculture minister turned steamy novel writer, was yesterday the focus of some unwanted publicity.

Her face was plastered across an Edinburgh billboard advertising egg curry. Restaurant owner Tommy Miah dreamed up the poster to advertise his Leith eatery.

Mrs Curries declaration, while agriculture minister, that the majority of Britains eggs were infected with salmonella, caused a massive consumer backlash costing the industry millions.
