DCD elects board of directors

DAIRY CREST Direct has announced the results of the elections to form the first board of directors.

DCD is the new representative body for the 1400 Dairy Crest direct supply producers.

The seven board members are as follows:

  Brian Barnett – from Brize Norton in Oxon (chairman)

  Robert Irving – from Truro in Cornwall
  
  
• 
  
  Alan Lowrey – from Seascale in Cumbria
  
  
• 
  
  Michael Masters – from Glastonbury in Somerset
  
  
• 
  
  Howard Organ – from Evesham in Worcs
  
  
• 
  
  Malcolm Tiller – from Lifton in Devon
  
  
• 
  
  Richard Weaver – from Redditch in Worcs

Mr Barnett said: “Forming DCD has been a real challenge for us all and it has taken real dedication and commitment from everyone involved.

“Our core aim must be to achieve a sustainable return for our producers.

“I believe to do that we must work in collaboration with Dairy Crest whenever possible to bring us closer to the retail market.”
