Dorset farmer — and sculptor

A DORSET farmer has added a successful sideline to his business by making and selling sculpture, reports The Guardian.

David Vincent runs a herd of 95 milking cows on a 74.86ha (185 acre) tenanted farm at Leigh, near Sherborne.

Eight of his pieces, which he began making 20 years ago, were put up for sale through auctioneers Phillips.

Vincent makes his sculpture, described by Phillips as “witty and wonderfully creative”, out of scrap agricultural machinery.

His latest collection fetched £2500.
