Downs eastern sales steady
BESPOKE potato and onion-grading equipment manufacturer EW Downs reports that sales of its products in to eastern Europe are being maintained. A new order from Slovakia for a Proteus 210 hopper/grader, twin Synchron Sizers, and two Boxer filling machines have been the latest successes in this area. The company says the value of equipment sold in eastern Europe since 1994 now totals nearly £2m with sales made to Russia, Ukraine, Hungary and the Czech Republic. *
